The Lahey Clinic, Burlington, Massachusetts.
This lab renovation project involved the transformation of an existing histology laboratory into a state-of-the-art molecular pathology research facility. This specialized research-based laboratory was meticulously customized in collaboration with the faculty researcher to meet the specific needs and advanced requirements of molecular pathology research.
The renovation process included tailored fit-ups to accommodate specialized equipment and workflows, ensuring that the laboratory could support cutting-edge research activities. One of the critical aspects of the project was managing construction administration under stringent Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) standards. This involved implementing rigorous infection control measures to protect ongoing medical operations and maintain a sterile environment throughout the construction phase.
The successful completion of this project not only provided the Lahey Clinic with a highly specialized molecular pathology lab but also demonstrated our ability to manage complex healthcare renovations. The new lab now supports advanced research initiatives, enhancing the clinic’s capabilities in molecular pathology and contributing to significant advancements in medical science.
