Whidden Memorial Hospital, Everett, Massachusetts.
The renovation of the existing unoccupied 42-bed Med/Surg floor into a modern Med/Surg – telemetry unit was a transformative project aimed at enhancing patient care and facility efficiency. As the owner’s representative, our responsibilities included providing expert design consultation and comprehensive project management. This involved collaborating closely with healthcare professionals, architects, and construction teams to ensure the new unit met all clinical requirements and adhered to modern healthcare standards.
The design consultation process focused on creating a state-of-the-art environment that could accommodate advanced telemetry equipment, improving patient monitoring and care. Key aspects of the renovation included upgrading patient rooms with modern amenities, enhancing nurse stations for better workflow, and integrating cutting-edge medical technology throughout the unit. Our project management role encompassed coordinating all phases of the renovation, from initial planning and budgeting to construction oversight and final inspections. By maintaining constant communication with all stakeholders and meticulously managing timelines and resources, we successfully delivered a high-quality Med/Surg – telemetry unit that significantly improved the hospital’s capabilities and patient outcomes.
