Hebrew Rehabilitation Center, Roslindale, Massachusetts.
The renovation at the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center involved a comprehensive replacement of all medical gases, representing a highly invasive and complex project within an occupied healthcare facility. The critical nature of this work required meticulous planning and execution, emphasizing extensive phasing to ensure minimal disruption to the center’s daily operations. Close coordination with the contractor was essential to manage noise levels, maintain life safety standards, and adhere to Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) protocols.
Throughout the renovation, stringent measures were implemented to safeguard the well-being of residents and staff. Temporary barriers, air filtration systems, and careful scheduling of noisy activities were employed to minimize the impact on the center’s environment. The project team worked closely with the center’s administration and medical staff to ensure seamless transitions between phases, maintaining uninterrupted access to essential medical services. The successful completion of this renovation not only enhanced the safety and functionality of the facility’s medical gas systems but also demonstrated a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety during a challenging and invasive construction process.
